Opportunity
WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Plant Mechanic to join the team.
This role is based in our workshop at Seven Hills, and requires travel to job sites across the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose any issues and identify damage to the fleet/plant equipment
- Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
- Conduct regular services to site machines or vehicles
- Source machinery parts for defect repairs or services
- Complete documentation for maintenance requests, repairs and orders as per company guidelines
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Certificate III in Plant Operations
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of plant equipment, including brands such as Volvo, Kobelco, Bell, Hitachi, and CAT
- Valid MR Licence and Driver’s Licence, and White Card
- Expertise in component rebuilds and a strong ability to diagnose issues effectively
- Solutions-focused with adaptability to changing requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed to a high-quality standard
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Committed to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and practices.
- Proactive, positive, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
